About CU

Private university (est. 1998 as Caucasus School of Business)

Caucasus University's history began in 1998 with support from the US State Department; it was established as a university in 2004 and today teaches up to 10,000 students across English-taught programmes. The six-year, 12-semester medical programme is NMC-aligned with CAAM-HP accreditation and an ECFMG pathway. Around 1,500 Indian students have graduated from the university, which has a separate girls' hostel, an Indian mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, and a dedicated international relations team for visas, insurance and housing.

Eligibility

Age
At least 17 years old by 31 December of the enrolment year
Academics
10+2 (12th) with at least 50% combined in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% for reserved categories), English as a subject
Entrance
Valid NEET UG qualification (mandatory under NMC rules to practise in India); no separate university entrance exam beyond the university's own online test/interview where applicable

How admission works

Visa for Georgia

Visa file through VFS Global; university issues Ministry order, Rector order, EQE letter, invitation and accommodation confirmation 3-4 weeks after first-semester fee; visa takes about 4-5 weeks.

Payment terms

Tuition and hostel-mess fees are paid in advance as per the university schedule, before each semester. Hostel and mess are compulsory for the first year and must be paid before travel. Late payment attracts penalties. Once the visa is issued and classes begin, one semester's fee is charged. Refunds follow the university's refund policy.
